On-call and emergency dentist in Beylikdüzü: where to go at night, on Sundays and on public holidays

With toothache that starts in the middle of the night, the first step is to tell pain apart from a spreading infection. If you have fast-growing facial swelling, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a high fever, call 112 or go to a hospital emergency department straight away. Otherwise, controlling the pain until morning and seeing a dentist the same day is usually enough; Dent32 in Beylikdüzü is open every day, including weekends.

Which situations are truly urgent?

How does the on-call dentist system work?

In Istanbul, emergency dental care at night and on public holidays is mainly provided through the on-call rota of oral and dental health hospitals and centres run by the Ministry of Health. Because the facility on call can change from night to night, the most reliable way to find out is to check with the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate or call the Ministry of Health helpline, ALO 184.

On-call services usually provide first aid that brings pain and infection under control: opening the tooth to relieve pressure, draining an abscess, stopping bleeding or, if needed, an extraction. Permanent treatments such as root canals, crowns or implants are planned at later appointments.

What you can do at home until morning

  • Painkillers: Take a painkiller your doctor has previously said is suitable for you, at the dose on the pack. Don't put aspirin on the tooth or gum; it burns the tissue.
  • Cold compress: A cold compress on the cheek for 15–20 minutes at a time can reduce swelling and pain. Avoid heat.
  • Keep your head up: Raising your head with an extra pillow when lying down can ease throbbing.
  • Warm salt water: For gum-related pain, gently rinsing with warm salt water can help.
  • Antibiotics: Don't start leftover antibiotics on your own. Antibiotics don't cure most toothache; we explain why in our article on antibiotics and toothache.

You'll find what to do for each type of pain in our night and weekend toothache guide.

A quick reminder before public holidays

Many clinics close for several days during the Bayram holidays. If a tooth has started to ache, or a filling or temporary crown feels loose, having it checked before the holiday can save you a night of searching for an on-call dentist. Frequently asked questions

How do I find an on-call dentist in Beylikdüzü?

At night and on public holidays, you can find out which state oral and dental health facility is on call from the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate or the ALO 184 helpline. Dent32 is open during the day at weekends.

Is Dent32 open at night?

No. Dent32 is open during the day every day, including weekends, but doesn't offer a night service. For emergencies at night, go to the on-call facility or an emergency department.

My face is swollen. Should I go to a dentist or A&E?

If the swelling is growing fast, spreading to the eye or neck, or you have difficulty swallowing or breathing, go straight to A&E. For limited, slowly developing swelling, see a dentist the same day.

Do emergency departments treat teeth?

General emergency departments mostly control pain and infection; you'll be referred to a dentist for treatment of the tooth itself.

Can I have a tooth extracted at the weekend?

At Dent32, as well as examinations and urgent care, planned procedures can also be done at weekends. Ask on WhatsApp which procedures are possible that day.
